THE PREPARATORY SURVEY FOR THE PROJECT FOR EXPANSION OF YANGON PORT IN THILAWA AREA FINAL REPORT 1 June 2014 JAPAN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AGENCY The Overseas Coastal Area Development Institute of Japan NIPPON KOEI CO., LTD Yangon is located near a large body of water (e.g., ocean, sea, or large lake). Last Spring High Tide at Rangoon River was on Fri 08 May (height:6.80m 22.3ft). This section reports on the wide-area average surface temperature of that water. The PRD is a low-lying coastal area, with much of its surface area less than 2 m above mean sea level (MSL) (Syvitski et al., 2009;Wu et al., 2018). The reason for this is that very little research has been performed on the topic and that infrastructural damages are often not associated with subsidence when they should be. In Yangon, the wet season is oppressive and overcast, the dry season is muggy and partly cloudy, and it is hot year round.
