This example is referenced in this documentation to explain how IBM® Record Generator for Java™ processes COBOL data structures. The only way I could think of if you don't want to change the copybook member is to use qualification on each reference of a dataname. Due to this both the files will have same layout and we have to use the same COPYBOOK. This data structure contains the same data as that used in the Example DSECT. But if we use the same COPYBOOK for multiple files in the same program,then there should be a way to differentiate both the files. That can be achieved by using REPLACING option in COPYBOOK in COBOL.
