The loud, scary sound effect would play and the shaky flashlight beam would land on a scruffy little mouse nibbling on a scrap of food near the wall--and you'd be like, "I paid $10 for this?"

It sounds like tapping, knocking, like somebody's on the other side tapping the wall with a stick or something. A water leak in the house rarely makes a sound.

The tapping noise is located on the adjacent wall to the radiator. Its not like the clicking noise of a beetle. Something you need to understand is that behind my bed is a door to a large storage room. As to dripping sounds, the fact boiler is not making up water may suggest it is inside the pipe, as you suggest, esp.
Tapping sound is very likely pipe rubbing against the wood inside wall.

If you hear any of the above noises even without hearing any of the actual sounds, you are most likely suffering from tinnitus. It literally sounds like someone is knocking on the wall with their fist. 'Phantom Tapping' solved. But now, listen to this, as I'm standing there I notice that my picture on the wall seems to be protruding.

Tapping varies in location of wall, mid-wall or close to the ceiling and in decibel. The sound of water hitting drywall or wood isn't as audible as the sound of water dripping in a hollow, hard, resonating pvc/abs pipe.
